Now GMC residents can become members of the AIFC. What will it give you?
The AIFC represents an independent regulatory regime that ensures the fairness and efficiency of the financial market. In particular, AIFC participants are exempt from paying corporate income tax on income received from the provision of the following financial services in the AIFC: 1) banking services of the Islamic bank; 2) reinsurance services and insurance brokerage services; 3) services for the investment management of the assets of investment funds, their accounting and storage, as well as ensuring the issuance, placement, circulation, and redemption of investment funds’ securities; 4) brokerage and (or) dealer underwriting services; 5) other financial services determined by the AIFC acts.
In addition, the AIFC has a simplified visa regime. In particular, the AIFC provides visa-free entry into the country for up to 30 days to citizens of OECD countries, the UAE, Malaysia, Singapore and Monaco. Foreign workers of the AIFC Participants and their family members can obtain visas for up to 5 years with the possibility of further extension. AIFC participants can hire foreign citizens and stateless persons to work in the AIFC without obtaining work permits. For AIFC Participants, simplified visa procedures are provided for obtaining, extending, changing the category or canceling visas without the need to leave the country, as well as for obtaining a visa on arrival.
To facilitate the access of foreign experts and their family members to a wide range of state and non-state services, a specialized AIFC Expat Center has been established. The Center operates on the principle of "one stop shop". In the AIFC Expat Center, visa and migration services, services of tax authorities (for issuing individual identification numbers), services for registering vehicles and issuing driver's licenses to foreign citizens are available in English, as well as a wide range of services of Government for Citizens State Corporation (issuing digital signatures), notary services and translation agency services, payment terminal (multi-cassette) services, call center, assistant services in searching for real estate agencies, schools, information about Nur-Sultan attractions, recommended for visiting, and others services necessary or useful for the entry and stay of foreign workers in the AIFC.
